Mr. Y. Rajendra Kumar

He is working as a Associate Professor since 2005. He started his career as a Faculty at ECIT (ECIL), where he taught long-term courses like Graduate Course in Information Technology (GCIT), Advanced Diploma in Software Technology (ADST) and short-term courses such as MS- Office, C, C++, and Oracle (SQL), Web Technologies (HTML).

Trained employees for ECIL, NFC, and CISF employees in short-term courses. Later he joined AYJNISHD (D) (SRC, Secunderabad) in 2004 as a Vocational Computer Instructor. Trained adult hearing-impaired students for the Office Automation Certification Course and achieved a 100% pass result, which was recognized by the State Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Went on deputation to CMC to conduct a Hardware and Networking course for Hearing-impaired students and served as a translator. Later he joined in Helen Keller’s Institute in 2005 as a Lecturer in Computer. Served as faculty for B.Sc. (ASLP) students, teaching Computer subjects.

Attended workshops and seminars conducted by Osmania University and participated in CRE programmes and workshops in the area of Special Education.

Currently he is teaching computer subjects to B.Com (Gen & CA) students with hearing impairment using total communication method – visual-based methods, Study Material like Power Point presentation. That’s a strong approach since visual learning is key for students (Hearing Impaired)

Successfully completed two batches of Skill Development Program (Information Technology & Retail sector, Multimedia, Communication Skills) Skills students with Hearing impairment.
