Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology (MSC - SLP)
Master of Science (Speech Language Pathology) is a two year (4 semesters) postgraduate program which focuses on imparting advanced knowledge about the assessment and management of speech, language and swallowing disorders. Msc (SLP) in our institute is approved by RCI, New Delhi and affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad. The program is designed to provide theoretical, clinical and research skills to create professional experts in the field.
The objectives of the M.Sc. (SLP) program is to equip the students with knowledge
and skills to:
- Diagnose and manage disorders of speech, language, and swallowing across life span.
- Counsel and guide persons with disorders of speech, language and swallowing as well as their family members.
- Implement rehabilitation programs for persons with speech, language and swallowing disorders.
- Function as teachers and researchers in institutions of higher learning.
- To function as the disability certification authority in the field,
- Liaise with professionals in allied fields and other stake holders,
- Implement prevention and public education programs,
- Undertake advocacy measures on behalf of and for persons with speech, language and swallowing disorders,
- Advise government and other institutions on legal and policy issues related to persons with communication disorders, and
To establish and manage institutions in the field.
After the course completion, the student can pursue a career as Speech Language pathologist in Clinical set ups, Educational institutions, Special schools, regular schools, Hospital set ups or start private practice. They also have opportunity in therapy centres under government schemes (BRC, RBSK) and NGOs. Individuals with interest in academics and research can work in academic institutions. They also have opportunities abroad in countries such as USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Gulf countries etc. Interested individuals can pursue Ph.D (SLP) in India or abroad.

Eligibility:
- BASLP/BSC (ASLP) or equivalent degree
- Minimum of 55% marks, for SC. ST 50%
- Entrance Test by Osmania University.
