I am Latika Kumari from the MASLP batch of 2012-2014, currently working as an SLP in Los Angeles, California, USA. I can’t express my gratitude in words towards my alma mater HK Institute. During my study, I always felt supported by all the staff, while still being challenged to develop my skills and grow my professional horizon. The administrator team not only worked very diligently to arrange qualified staff to complete syllabus on time, provided opportunities to conduct research, but also facilitated external placements and visits to various institutes in the medical and rehabilitation field to have better perspective and knowledge of the field. I have no hesitation to say that the knowledge I gained during my Masters’ helped me to clear the licensing board exam (PRAXIS) to earn my California State SLP license, and ASHA –CCC, but also made it easier for me to be successful in serving my Speech-Language- Cognition- Swallowing patients with confidence! I would highly recommend the HK Institute to students who are Planning to pursue a career in Speech –Language Pathology or Audiology.

Hello Sir,
“Hi, Myself Dr. Navya Attuluri, a proud alumnus of Helen Keller Institute, Secunderabad, presently working as a Speech Language Pathologist in California, USA. I enjoyed the privilege of being a first-batch student of the Master’s program in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. The founder Director Mr. Umar Khan left no stone unturned in arranging lectures and research guidance from the best faculty. Apart from excellent academic inputs, the institute also inculcated the values of being kind, compassionate, and empathetic by being the best role models. As a student, I got all the freedom to work at my pace and also be responsible at the same time. I always feel indebted to Khan sir and his team for whatever I am today.”

Respected Sir,

As an alumni of the Helen Keller’s institute of research and rehabilitation for the disabled children, R. K. Puram, Secunderabad, I’m delighted to share my experience:

1. Comprehensive Education: The institute provided me with a well-rounded education in speech and hearing sciences. This foundation equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in my field.

2. Experienced Faculty: The faculty members at the institute were not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply committed to their students’ success. Their expertise and dedication created a supportive learning environment where I felt encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and pursue my academic interests.

3. Hands-On Training: One of the highlights of my experience at the institute was the emphasis on practical, hands-on training. Through clinical placements, internships, and lab experiences, I gained valuable real-world experience working with clients and applying the theoretical concepts I had learned in class.

4. Cutting-Edge Research: The institute was at the forefront of research in the field of speech and hearing sciences. Being exposed to cutting-edge research not only broadened my understanding of the field but also inspired me to think critically and pursue further studies in specific areas of interest.

5. Supportive Community: The institute fostered a strong sense of community among students, faculty, and alumni. Whether through study groups, professional networking events, or alumni gatherings, I always felt supported and connected to a larger network of individuals who shared my passion for speech and hearing sciences.

Overall, my experience at HK Institute of Speech and Hearing was incredibly rewarding, and I am grateful for the knowledge, skills, and relationships that I gained during my time there.
